This data visualization project focuses on assessing the risks encountered by journalists globally from 1992 to the present, leveraging the meticulous documentation provided by the "Committee to Protect Journalists." The analysis aims to uncover patterns and trends related to journalist safety, addressing critical questions such as the primary causes of journalist deaths, the nature of reports during incidents, geographic hotspots of risk, temporal trends, and the correlation between press freedom indices and challenges faced by journalists.
Through a series of informative and interactive visualizations, I aim to shed light on the nuanced dynamics surrounding journalist safety, providing stakeholders with actionable insights for informed decision-making in media and journalism advocacy.
