XINHUA NOW, An App for Community
The Xinhua Li community is facing the challenge of connecting new residents with existing ones. IVC, a community group, has identified that the main reason for this difficulty is the information asymmetry between the old and new residents. To address this issue, IVC is developing a community app with local residents to facilitate event sharing and online event registration. Using the app, residents can upload community events and share them as virtual balloons visible to everyone. Interested residents can easily apply to join events through the app, bridging the information gap and strengthening physical connections within the community.
